On September 18–21, 2014, Deloitte Youth Union and VACO organized the program "Returning to the Source 2014: Journey to Dien Bien." On this journey, in addition to returning to the roots and experiencing history through A1 Hill Martyrs Cemetery, Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, A1 Hill, Do Cat Tunnel, Ban Phu citadel, Coi Noi intersection, prison Son La, and the To Hieu peach tree, the group also visited and directly gave gifts to ethnic students in particularly difficult circumstances in Bung Lao commune, Xuan Lao commune, and Ang To commune, the poor communes of Muong Ang district in Dien Bien province.
The trip had the participation of five VACO youth: Pham Hai Long, Tran Ngoc Hoang, Nguyen Hong Hanh, Pham Phuong Thanh, and Kieu Thanh Tung. Tran Ngoc Hoang, a representative of the delegation members, shared his feelings after the trip in the attached article. The Youth Union Executive Committee believes that the youthful spirit and enthusiasm of those participating in the trip back to their origins will spread and replicate throughout the VACO family.
